{Merz-Berries} .Christmas 2012

Today I was talking to my cousin on the phone and she said,
"If you don't come over with at least three bags full of stuff, something is wrong."
Lately I've been bringing such things as my own bowl, sugar, cream, and hand mixer to parties to make
my own freshly whipped cream to top my homemade desserts.
Or a bag of baking supplies to make from-scratch gluten-free brownies.
Or a rubbermaid bin and several bags of fun Photo Booth props to a Halloween party
....or to the library at church...

The Merz-Berries like to call themselves a family of exotic fruits.

You'll find that they are certainly a family of fun.

As we began, it was clear that one child was not afraid of the camera....(at all!),
and one who took a little longer to warm up and give a real smile.
Good thing I brought awesome props to get the fun rolling!

(On a closely related note - what is it with that age where your natural smile is great,
but your "Smile!" makes you look like you are terrified?)

On another closely related note, I am happy to bring these bags and bins of fun to your next party or photo shoot :)

{Hank} .fall 2012

A first look at Henry and those blue eyes and red hair draw you in.
Then he grins at you.
Blows you a kiss.
Gives you a hug.
And your heart is just melted.

Despite more hardships than anyone should have to endure before the age of 3 (much less before the age of 30),
this little guy can sign to communicate, scoot along at quite the pace, and is just learning to walk.
And he has everyone wrapped around his little finger!

So glad we had a beautiful day to capture this blue-eyed redheaded babe!

{Wedded} Alex + Liz

I approached the nearly-weds prior to their wedding, demanding some answers about the photography for
their big day. Several parents and friends were taking family, wedding party, and ceremony photos, but was
someone taking charge of some of the other important shots?

Bride & Groom

I was especially enamored with the idea of taking photos of Liz's wedding dress. Probably because she
made it herself. From bodice to embellishments to layers of tulle. The personal touches made her look all the
more beautiful.

The story of the day should be evident in all the 1.000 words of each of these photos. There was beauty,
rain, repairs, Duluth, tears, laughter, love, tallness, kissing, and fun. Enjoy!
